Fun Christmas Organization

Fun Christmas Organizing Tips

Much like everything else, the holidays have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Minimizing social gatherings has been recommended to keep your families and friends safe. We may not have the same Christmas experiences as you did in year’s past, but that doesn’t mean it has to be tedious or uneventful. Get that holidays spirit on – cook with family, watch some movies, and enjoy yourself. Today it is time to get creative and make new things happen. We bring you some fun Christmas organizing tips.

We know, organizing and cleaning may not be as exciting as getting some gift wraps, baking, or making some Christmas cards. However, it is important to keep your house clean and fresh in order to have a nice time with your family. Make sure you take note and do not forget to have fun with it.

First, you have to make sure you plan. Many times, we may feel overwhelmed by how many places and things we have to clean but that does not have to be an issue. In fact, don’t think you have to do this on your own. If you have family with you, get them to do a small part. You will finish faster if you do this.

The first step to fun Christmas organization is decluttering. This can apply to any room you begin with. For instance, if you begin with your living room, try to sort everything out of the way so you are able to see what should be quickly cleaned. In this case, it could be that your sofa or your picture frames need some dusting. But that brings us to our next step.

Quick Cleaning

Living Room

Cleaning is certainly not everyone’s favorite thing to do, but just think about how nice your house will look and how comfortable it will be once it is all clean and organized. With that image in mind, let’s get down to business. Dusting is a great way to start cleaning your living room. We have some more details about it here. You can also dust your blinds or even change them since they probably have been accumulating dust as well. Pat down your cushions and place them neatly on your couch. Check your coffee table for any dust traces. If you have one, and we highly recommend it since it brightens up the room, place a reef at the center of your coffee table. If you don’t have one, any other Christmas decoration will do. Let that Christmas spirit fill your home.

The bathroom is another important room to pay attention to. This is a place that family members and guests tend to frequent. We best make sure it remains clean. You can start off by decluttering. Make sure there is no dirty laundry lying around and if there is, take it to your laundry room. Now, start by cleaning the sink. You can use a scrubbing brush. You can even use a drying sheet to get rid of dirt, leaving your faucet shiny again. Proceed to your toilet and scrub away as well. Make sure to get all the crevices. You don’t want the room to be smelly. Stock up on towels and toilet paper that are easily accessible just in case. You can read more about our bathroom tips here.

The kitchen Is super important. Make sure to spend some good amount of time on it since it is the place where you will be making your delicious Christmas dinner. Start by cleaning the furniture. Usually, the cabinets tend to accumulate dust both above and below them so try to watch out for these spots. A good tip is to make a spray that is equal parts water and white vinegar. The spray together with a microfiber cloth is very good to get rid of stains on the surface of your furniture. You can also add some aroma by adding some eucalyptus or lavender. Now, clean your oven as well. You can clean your oven with sodium bicarbonate, a good product you can find in your house. The sodium bicarbonate is mixed with a bit of dishwasher soap and water until it forms a paste. This paste can later be applied to the oven’s surface. You should try to focus on the areas that have stains. Leave the paste for 5 minutes and then remove it with a moist cloth. If you want to read more about what we recommend, visit here.

Get your Christmas spirit on. Do not let anything bring you down so try not to stress about everything at once. Take it one day at a plan. Also, plan! Plans will definitely make things easier for you. It is basically like having a schedule of what you are going to do. It can serve as a remind or a sort of checklist of things you have to get done.
